What is a Consignment PCB Assembly?
At Gold Mate, we offer consignment PCB assembly, a business model where the customer provides the materials needed for assembling the printed circuit boards. In this model, your team manages the procurement, inventory, and packaging of the components, which are then shipped to us for assembly.
Unlike turnkey PCB assembly, where both the materials and assembly are handled by the supplier, consignment PCB assembly relies on the customer to supply the components, and we focus solely on the assembly process.
Consigned PCB assembly can be further categorized into two types:
Full Consignment PCB Assembly: In this service, the customer provides all the necessary components, both active and passive, required for assembly. This option is ideal for customers who already have the components in-house and want to quickly move into production with a contract manufacturer.
Partial Consignment PCB Assembly: Here, the customer provides some components, while the supplier sources the remaining parts. This option is often chosen to maintain confidentiality, especially for sensitive components like integrated circuits and active chips.
At Gold Mate, we offer both options, ensuring flexibility to meet your specific needs while maintaining the highest quality standards.
